Heres a interesting snippet from the archives, when we were first expanding into the Eastern States in Australia

As we continue business in the Eastern States from the cosiness of the World's Most Isolated City.. Perth, a number of questions have been received from subscribers:

All the testimonials are from people in Perth... we are different in Victoria, will this stuff work?

Our customer base includes multinationals Repco, Caltex, ANZ and Boral. The reason that they used us was that our ideas were different, cost effective and the results were quickly obtained.

Question from Hardware Distributors Adelaide:
How do you handle the fact that every head of office is away from here...

Selling to branch offices is not easy but you shouldn't give up. We have great success by asking very early in the transaction...
"How can we help you own our product..."
On many occassions it is necessary to ask for your customer to buy from a different budget.. our training is often "Marketing: for companies with Eastern States Head Offices, or the invoice needs to be broken down to below local authorisation limits... a $1,000 sales becomes 3 seperate $350 invoices...

A lot has certainly changed since then!

If we want to change a situation, we first have to change ourselves. And to change ourselves effectively, we first have to change our perceptions.
