Magpies swooping you?#

 I was doing my daily walk [I  try to get in 20,000 steps a day] when a guy on a push bike passed me with what I thought was a silly hat on. It seems the joke was on me! I though the things sticking UP were weird aerials but when he stopped for a rest, I asked and he tld me they were deterrents for magpies swooping him [even if the signs from the council warning of swooping birds have gone] and they work he said.

He also had eyes painted on his helmut and said sll this was after he had been swooped and pecked [with blodd drawn] by a magpie. I said I felt unsafe and he said that the magpies prefferred people on biles and with my het and glasses I should be OK.

It mmakes you wonder that!
