Why do bats hand up side down [ perch ] while birds perch the right way up??

The wonders of nature... bats can fly upside down and see places to "perch" like roofs of caves which have no other creatures to crowd them out... and birds have to sleep half their brain a time... bats can die stuck to the roof where as birds just "drop off the perch"
